- Check thermal fuse: Locate and test the thermal fuse on the blower housing or exhaust duct for continuity. Replace if open.
- Test igniter: Disconnect the igniter and measure resistance. An open reading indicates a failed igniter; replace with an OEM GE Profile igniter, handling it by the ceramic base only.
- Inspect flame sensor: Test the flame sensor for continuity at room temperature. Replace if open.
- Wiring: Inspect all burner circuit wiring for burns or breaks and repair as needed.
