Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the breaker before inspecting electrical connections. If you are not comfortable working with 240V circuits, contact an electrician.
Check house power:
- Verify the dryer breaker is a double-pole 30A breaker and both handles are in the ON position.
- Reset the breaker fully OFF then ON.
- Use a multimeter at the dryer receptacle to confirm ~240V across the two hot legs and ~120V from each hot to neutral.
Inspect dryer terminal block:
- Unplug the dryer and remove the rear terminal block cover.
- Check for burned wires, loose screws, or melted insulation.
- Tighten loose connections and replace any damaged power cord or terminal block.
- Restore power and test.
If correct voltage is present and connections are good but E20 remains, the main control board power supply may be defective and require replacement.
