How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the control console.

Inspect UI and control connections:

  • Remove the screws securing the control panel or top console and carefully tilt it forward.
  • Locate the ribbon cable or harness connecting the user interface board to the main control board.
  • Disconnect and reconnect the harness several times to clean the contacts; ensure it is fully seated and locked.
  • Inspect connectors for corrosion, burnt spots, or broken pins. Clean lightly with electronic contact cleaner if needed.
  • Check for any signs of water intrusion or detergent residue; dry thoroughly.
  • Restore power and test operation.

If E9 persists: Replace the user interface board first (most common), and if the issue remains, the main control board may also need replacement.
