GE User Interface / Touchpad Failure

Remove the control panel and locate the ribbon cable between the UI and main board.
Disconnect and reconnect the cable to clean contacts.
Inspect for corrosion or damage.

Clean and test:

Clean the exterior of the control panel with a slightly damp cloth; avoid spraying cleaner directly on the panel.
After drying, restore power and test button response.
If buttons remain unresponsive or random, replace the user interface board.
