GE dryer door will not stay closed or pops open during operation.

Safety first: Unplug the dryer.

Inspect and adjust door hardware:

• Examine the plastic or metal door catch on the door and the strike on the cabinet.
• If the catch is worn or cracked, replace it.
• If the strike is bent or loose, adjust or replace it and tighten mounting screws.
• Check door hinges for sagging; tighten screws or replace hinges if necessary.
