Dryer is running but makes a loud squealing or screeching noise during drum rotation

Safety first: Disconnect the dryer from mains before removing panels or reaching inside the cabinet.

• Isolate the noise: Run the dryer briefly (with panels on) to identify whether the noise comes from the front, rear, or bottom. Then unplug and proceed.
• Inspect drum edges: Check the gap between the drum and front panel for trapped objects (coins, bra wires). Remove any debris.
• Check rollers and idler: Remove the front and/or rear panels to access drum support rollers and idler pulley. Spin each by hand; replace any that squeal, wobble, or feel rough.
• Lubrication: Do not oil sealed bearings. Only use manufacturer-approved lubricant on specified points if recommended; otherwise replace worn parts.
• Reassemble and test: After replacing components, reassemble and run a test cycle to confirm the noise is gone.
