Dryer produces a rattling or metallic clinking noise during operation

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before reaching inside or removing panels.

• Inspect drum interior: Check inside the drum and around the baffles for loose objects. Remove any coins, buttons, or hardware.
• Check drum seal area: Rotate the drum by hand and listen for scraping. If noise is present, inspect the front and rear drum seals for trapped objects.
• Inspect fan housing: Remove the rear or side panel to access the fan. Look for debris inside the fan housing and remove carefully.
• Check for loose parts: Tighten any loose screws on baffles, panels, and internal brackets.
• Test run: Reassemble and run a short cycle to confirm the noise has been eliminated.
