Possible Causes
Dirty moisture sensor bars, Blocked airflow causing overheating, Faulty NTC sensor, Defective control board logic
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before cleaning or accessing sensors.
- Clean sensor bars: Thoroughly clean the moisture sensor bars inside the drum with a non-abrasive pad and vinegar to remove any film.
- Check airflow: Clean the lint filter and condenser, and ensure vents and air inlets are not blocked.
- Test on timed cycle: Run a timed program. If the dryer runs normally on timed but stops early on automatic, the moisture sensing or NTC may be faulty.
- Inspect NTC sensor: Access the NTC on the air duct or heater housing and test its resistance. Replace if readings are abnormal.
- Professional diagnosis: If the problem persists, the control board may be misinterpreting sensor data and should be checked by a technician.
