E06
Grundig
Moisture Sensor / Humidity Detection Fault
Dryer displays E06 and may stop heating; often related to humidity sensing

Possible Causes
Dirty or coated moisture sensor bars, Broken moisture sensor wiring, Faulty moisture sensor module, Defective main control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the dryer from mains before removing any covers. Cleaning the sensor bars can be done with power off and door open.
- Locate moisture sensor bars: Inside the drum, usually near the lint filter opening, identify the two metal strips (sensor bars).
- Clean sensor bars: Using a soft cloth and a bit of white vinegar or mild detergent, scrub the bars to remove any waxy residue from fabric softeners or detergent. Dry thoroughly.
- Check for damage: Inspect the bars for deep scratches, corrosion, or looseness. If they are physically damaged, replace the moisture sensor assembly.
- Inspect wiring: Access the area behind the sensor bars (front panel removal may be required). Check the wiring harness and connectors from the bars to the control board for breaks or loose connections.
- Test operation: Reassemble, reconnect power, and run an automatic drying program with a small load. If E06 reappears and the bars and wiring are good, the sensor module or main PCB may need replacement by a technician.
