Dryer shows E13 and may stop with a beeping alarm; often linked to door or safety interlocks

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before working on the door or front panel.

• Inspect door latch and strike: Check that the door closes squarely and the latch engages fully. Replace any cracked or worn latch components.
• Check door switch alignment: Remove the front panel to access the door switch/lock. Ensure it is firmly mounted and aligned with the door hook.
• Test switch continuity: With a multimeter, test the door switch for continuity when the door is closed (or when the actuator is pressed). Replace the switch if readings are inconsistent.
• Inspect wiring: Follow the wiring from the door switch to the main PCB, looking for loose connectors or damaged insulation. Repair or replace as needed.
• Reset and test: Reassemble, reconnect power, and run a short cycle. If E13 recurs, the safety circuit on the PCB may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
