Possible Causes
Incorrect supply voltage, Loose power cord connections at terminal block, Burnt terminal block, Faulty main control board power supply section
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the circuit breaker and unplug the dryer before accessing the terminal block. Mains voltage can be lethal.
- Verify supply voltage: Have a qualified person measure the voltage at the wall outlet. Ensure it matches the dryer rating (e.g., 220–240 V for many Haier models).
- Inspect power cord and plug: Check for burn marks, melted plastic, or loose prongs. Replace the power cord if damaged.
- Check terminal block: Remove the rear cover over the terminal block. Inspect for burnt wires, loose screws, or discoloration. Tighten any loose connections and replace burnt components.
- Control board inspection: If the supply and terminal block are good, remove the top panel and inspect the main control board for burnt components or damaged tracks in the power supply area. Replace the board if damage is found or if E9 persists.
