• Check power supply: Verify at the breaker panel that both poles of the dryer circuit are on (for 240 V models). A half-tripped breaker can allow the drum to turn without heat.
• Clean venting: Ensure the lint filter and exhaust vent are clear to prevent overheating and fuse failure.
• Test thermal fuse and thermostats: Remove the rear panel and use a multimeter to check continuity of the thermal fuse and thermostats. Replace any open components.
• Test heating element: Measure resistance across the element terminals. Replace the heating element assembly if open.
