Clogged lint filter or vent, Failing drive motor overheating, Weak cycling thermostat, Blocked internal airflow passages
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer and allow it to cool completely before inspection.
- Clean airflow system: Thoroughly clean the lint filter, exhaust vent, and internal ducts.
- Check motor ventilation: Remove the rear or front panel to inspect the motor area. Clear any lint buildup around the motor.
- Test with no load: Run the dryer empty. If it still stops after a short time, the motor or thermostat may be overheating.
- Component testing: Use a multimeter to test thermostats for proper operation. If the motor is very hot to the touch and noisy, replacement is recommended.
