Imbalance or Leveling Issue
Dryer vibrates excessively or moves across the floor during operation
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Dryer not level, Feet not adjusted, Uneven load, Worn suspension or shock absorbers (if fitted)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before adjusting feet or moving the appliance.
- Level the dryer: Use a spirit level on top of the dryer. Adjust the front and rear feet until the unit is stable and level.
- Check floor surface: Ensure the dryer is on a solid, non-flexing surface. Avoid placing it on thick carpets.
- Balance the load: Avoid drying single heavy items. Mix large and small items to distribute weight evenly.
- Inspect suspension (if applicable): Some models have internal dampers. If accessible, check for leaking or broken dampers and replace if necessary.
Proper leveling and balanced loads usually resolve vibration issues. If not, inspect internal supports and frame for damage.
