Possible Causes
Blown household fuse or tripped breaker, Faulty power cord, Burnt terminal block, Defective mains switch or line filter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the dryer is unplugged before opening any covers. Mains voltage is dangerous.
- Check outlet and breaker: Test the wall outlet with another appliance. Reset any tripped breakers or replace blown fuses.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or kinks. Replace the cord if damaged.
- Check terminal block: Remove the rear cover over the terminal block. Tighten loose screws and look for burnt connections. Replace damaged parts.
- Inspect mains switch and line filter: Access the top/front area and test the on/off switch and line filter for continuity.
If power is present at the terminal block but the control panel remains dead, the main control board may have failed and require replacement.
