E02
Hansa
Water Tank Full / Condensate Level Sensor Fault
Dryer stops shortly after start or will not start, E02 displayed

Possible Causes
Condensate tank full, Blocked condensate level float, Faulty water level sensor, Blocked condensate hose to tank
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off and unplug the dryer before removing any covers or internal hoses.
- Empty the water tank: Pull out the condensate tank (usually at the top-left or bottom-left front). Empty completely and rinse with warm water. Reinsert fully until it clicks.
- Check float and sensor: Inside the tank, locate the float mechanism. Make sure it moves freely and is not stuck by detergent residue or limescale. Clean with warm water and mild detergent.
- Inspect condensate hose: On condenser and heat pump Hansa dryers, a small hose leads from the condensate pump/sump to the tank. Access the lower front or rear service panel, locate the hose, and check for kinks or blockages. Flush it through if accessible.
- Reset and test: After cleaning and reassembling, plug the dryer back in and start a short program to see if E02 clears.
If the error returns with an empty tank, the level sensor or condensate pump assembly may be faulty and require replacement.
