Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC sensor, Corroded NTC connector, Damaged wiring harness between NTC and control board, Faulty control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Locate the NTC sensor: On many Hansa dryers, the NTC is mounted on the front or rear of the drum duct or on the heater housing. Remove the relevant panel to access it.
- Inspect connector and wiring: Check for loose, oxidized, or burnt connectors. Clean contacts and reseat firmly.
- Measure NTC resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure its resistance at room temperature. Compare with service documentation (commonly 5–20 kΩ). A reading of near 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a faulty sensor.
- Check harness continuity: If the sensor tests good, check continuity from the sensor connector to the main PCB connector using a multimeter.
Replace the NTC sensor if defective. If wiring and sensor are good but E06 persists, the main control board may need replacement.
