Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains and be prepared for water spillage when opening the lower section.
- Access the sump area: Open the lower front flap and remove the condenser. Behind or below it, locate the condensate sump and pump area.
- Clean the sump: Remove visible lint, threads, and debris from the sump. Check the float mechanism (if present) moves freely.
- Inspect the pump: If accessible, remove the pump cover and check the impeller for obstructions. Rotate it gently to ensure it is free.
- Check hoses: Follow the small hoses from the pump to the water tank or external drain. Clear any blockages and ensure there are no kinks.
Reassemble, ensure all seals are correctly seated, and test the dryer. If E08 persists, the condensate pump assembly likely needs replacement.
