Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing the door lock area.
- Check door closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and not obstructed by laundry. Press firmly on the door and try to start again.
- Inspect door lock: Remove the front panel screws around the door lock area. Gently pull the lock assembly forward and inspect for cracks or broken levers.
- Test lock coil: Disconnect the lock connector and measure resistance across the lock coil. An open circuit indicates a failed lock.
- Check wiring: Follow the harness from the lock to the PCB, looking for pinched or broken wires.
Replace the door lock assembly if defective. If a new lock does not clear E11, the control board may not be energizing the lock correctly and should be checked by a technician.
