Possible Causes
Leaking condensate hose, Cracked condensate tank, Loose pump connection, Blocked drain causing overflow into base
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.
- Check for visible leaks: Pull the dryer forward and inspect underneath and behind for water traces.
- Empty base tray (if accessible): Some Hansa models have a float switch in the base. Carefully tilt the dryer backward (with assistance) to drain water from the base onto towels.
- Inspect condensate system: Remove the condenser and inspect the sump, hoses, and pump connections for cracks or loose joints. Replace damaged hoses or seals.
- Check condensate tank: Fill the tank at the sink and check for leaks. Replace if cracked.
After drying the base and fixing leaks, reset the dryer and test. If E13 returns, the float switch or wiring may be faulty and require replacement.
