Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Heat pump systems are sealed and contain refrigerant; do not open the sealed circuit.
- Clean air paths: Remove and clean the lint filter and condenser thoroughly. Access the evaporator area (behind condenser) and gently vacuum lint from fins without bending them.
- Check heat pump fan: Listen for the internal fan when the dryer starts. If silent and the drum turns, the fan motor may be faulty. Access and inspect the fan for obstructions.
- Observe operation: After cleaning, run a short cycle. If the dryer does not warm up at all and E14 reappears, the compressor or refrigerant circuit may be at fault.
Compressor and refrigerant issues must be handled by an authorized service technician with proper equipment. Do not attempt to open or recharge the sealed system yourself.
