Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between UI and main PCB, Faulty control panel PCB, Moisture ingress into control panel, Firmware communication fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Power reset: Leave the dryer unplugged for 5–10 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge, then reconnect and test.
- Inspect UI connections: Remove the top cover and then the control panel fascia. Check the ribbon cable and connectors between the user interface board and the main PCB. Reseat them carefully.
- Check for moisture or corrosion: Look for signs of water ingress or corrosion on the control panel. Dry gently and clean with isopropyl alcohol if minor.
If E15 persists and buttons remain unresponsive, the user interface board or main PCB may need replacement. Match the replacement part to your exact Hansa model.
