How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before disassembly. Wear gloves to avoid cuts.
- Isolate the noise: Run the dryer briefly (then unplug) to identify if the noise is from the front, rear, or bottom.
- Inspect rollers and idler: Remove front and/or rear panels to access drum supports. Spin rollers and idler pulley by hand; replace any that are noisy, wobbly, or seized.
- Check drum glides and felt: Inspect front drum glides and felt seals for wear. Replace if worn through or missing.
- Remove debris: Look for objects stuck at the drum edge or in the felt seal and remove them.
- Lubrication is generally not recommended on sealed bearings; replace worn parts instead.
