Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, Blocked exhaust duct or wall vent, Partially blocked internal blower housing, Weak heating due to failing thermostat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before cleaning internal ducts.
- Clean lint filter thoroughly: Remove and wash with warm soapy water if coated. Dry completely.
- Inspect exhaust hose and wall vent: Remove the hose and check for lint buildup or crushed sections. Clean the hose and wall vent hood.
- Clean internal ducts: Remove rear or lower front panel and vacuum lint from blower housing and ducts. Avoid damaging sensors.
- Check load size and fabric: Avoid overloading and mixing heavy items with light ones; this can extend drying time.
- Verify heater operation: During a cycle, feel the exhaust air. If only mildly warm, test thermostats and heater as in the no-heat procedure.
