Possible Causes
Obstructed blower wheel, Broken blower wheel, Failed blower motor (if separate from drum motor), Loose blower mounting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. Moving fan blades can cause injury.
- Listen for fan operation: At the start of a cycle, you should hear air movement. If the drum turns but there is little or no airflow, suspect the blower.
- Access blower housing: Remove the rear or lower front panel to reach the blower assembly connected to the exhaust duct.
- Check for obstructions: Remove lint, socks, or other debris from the blower wheel and housing.
- Inspect blower wheel: Ensure the wheel is firmly attached to the motor shaft and not cracked. Replace if damaged.
- Test blower motor (if separate): Check for proper resistance and operation. Replace if seized or open.
- Reassemble and test. If E13 persists with a clear blower and good motor, the airflow sensor or main PCB may be at fault.
