Possible Causes
Blocked airflow causing overheating, Failed cycling thermostat, Stuck heater relay on PCB, Faulty high-limit thermostat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer and allow it to cool completely before working on it.
- Clean airflow system: Thoroughly clean the lint filter, internal ducts, blower housing, and external vent as described for airflow faults.
- Inspect thermostats: Access the heater housing and exhaust duct. Test the cycling thermostat and high-limit thermostat for continuity. Replace any that are open or show signs of heat damage.
- Check heater relay: On the main PCB, inspect the heater relay for signs of sticking or burning. If the heater remains on when it should be off, the relay or board must be replaced.
- After replacing faulty components and cleaning, reset the dryer by unplugging for several minutes. If E15 returns, seek professional service to verify temperature control and safety circuits.
