How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control panel.
- Check for stuck buttons: Press each button and ensure it moves freely. Clean around buttons with a dry brush.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and reseat the ribbon cable between the UI and main PCB.
- Examine PCB: Look for cracked solder joints on the button contacts. Re-solder if you are competent with electronics, or replace the UI PCB.
- Replace tact switches: If individual buttons fail, the small tact switches may be worn and can be replaced or the entire board swapped.
