Hoover
Incorrect Load Handling / Drum Reversal or Cool-Down Issues
Dryer runs but clothes come out very creased and wrinkled
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Overloaded drum, Drum not reversing properly (where designed to), No cool-down phase due to heater or control fault, Clothes left in drum after cycle ends
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Always unplug before internal checks.
- Adjust load size: Do not overload the Hoover dryer. Fill the drum loosely to about half to two-thirds full.
- Remove promptly: Take clothes out as soon as the cycle finishes. Use anti-crease or easy-iron programs if available.
- Check drum reversal: Observe a cycle and ensure the drum reverses direction periodically (on models with this feature). If it only turns one way, a motor or control issue may exist and require service.
- Verify cool-down: At the end of the cycle, the dryer should run without heat for a few minutes. If it stops abruptly while still hot, the control board or heater relay may be faulty.
