Hoover
Restricted Airflow / Condenser Blockage
Dryer takes too long to dry; cycles run for a very long time and clothes are still damp

Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, Blocked condenser or heat exchanger, Blocked vent hose (vented models), Lint build-up in internal ducts and fan housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing panels or cleaning internal components.
- Clean lint filter every load: Remove the door filter and any secondary filters. Clean off all lint and wash with warm soapy water if coated.
- Clean condenser/heat exchanger: Remove the condenser unit from the lower front compartment. Rinse thoroughly under running water from back to front. Allow to drain and refit correctly.
- Check vent hose (vented models): Remove the hose from the back of the dryer and from the wall vent. Clear lint, straighten kinks, and ensure the external flap opens freely.
- Vacuum internal ducts: With the rear panel removed, carefully vacuum lint from ducts and around the fan housing. Do not damage sensors or wiring.
- Load size and spin speed: Ensure laundry is well spun in the washer (high spin speed) and that you are not overloading the drum, which reduces airflow.
