Possible Causes
Clogged lint filter, Blocked condenser unit, Blocked exhaust duct or wall vent, Lint buildup on internal ducts and fan housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing any panels or ducts.
- Clean lint filter: Remove and clean the lint filter before every load. Wash with warm soapy water if fabric softener residue is present.
- Clean condenser: On condenser and heat pump models, remove the condenser/heat exchanger and rinse thoroughly to remove lint and dust. Allow to dry before refitting.
- Check vent hose: For vented models, disconnect the exhaust hose and inspect for kinks, crushed sections, or lint blockage. Clean or replace as needed.
- Inspect wall vent: Ensure the external vent flap opens freely and is not blocked by lint, nests, or debris.
- Internal cleaning: If performance is still poor, remove the rear panel and carefully vacuum lint from the fan housing and internal ducts.
Tip: Overloading the drum also increases drying time; fill only to the recommended capacity.
