Dryer does not start or stops shortly after starting, F05 displayed, sometimes accompanied by beeping.

Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains before removing the control panel or front panel.

• Check door closure: Ensure the door closes firmly and the latch engages fully. Look for broken plastic on the door hook or catch.
• Inspect door seal and hinges: A sagging door or distorted seal can prevent the interlock from engaging. Tighten hinge screws and adjust if necessary.
• Test door switch: Access the door lock assembly from the front panel. With the dryer unplugged, remove the retaining screws and gently pull the lock forward. Check the wiring connector for looseness or burning.
• Continuity test: Use a multimeter to test the door switch contacts while operating the latch manually. If the switch does not change state (open/close), replace the door lock assembly.
• Reassemble and test: Refit the lock, ensuring the latch aligns correctly. Reconnect power and test for F05 clearance.
