Possible Causes
Faulty touch control panel, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Moisture ingress into control fascia, Failed main control board communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control panel or top cover.
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 10 minutes to reset the electronics. Reconnect and test.
- Check for moisture: Inspect the front control fascia for signs of condensation or detergent spills. Allow to dry completely if damp.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the top cover and access the back of the control panel. Reseat the flat ribbon cable between the user interface board and the main control board. Ensure it is fully inserted and not damaged.
- Visual inspection: Look for corrosion or burnt components on the UI board. If present, replace the user interface module.
- Board substitution: If the UI looks good but F06 persists, the main control board may have a communication fault and require replacement.
Note: Static-sensitive components are present; avoid touching tracks and chips directly.
