Safety first: Disconnect power before inspection.

• Inspect sensor area: Check the moisture sensor bars for foreign objects (e.g., metal items, wet tissues) bridging them. Remove any debris.
• Clean thoroughly: Use a non-abrasive cleaner to remove any conductive residue from the bars.
• Check continuity: With the dryer unplugged, disconnect the sensor wires and test for continuity between bars and to the control board harness. Repair any open or shorted wiring.
• Control board check: If wiring and bars are good, the sensor input circuit on the main board may be faulty and require board replacement.
