Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Faulty touch control panel or PCB, Moisture ingress into control fascia, Failed main control board communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the control panel or top cover.
Steps to check:
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 10 minutes to clear any temporary logic fault, then reconnect and test.
- Inspect fascia: Check for signs of liquid spills or condensation around the control panel. Dry the area thoroughly.
- Access control panel: Remove the top cover and the screws securing the front control fascia. Gently pull it forward to access the ribbon cable and connectors.
- Reseat connectors: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the user interface and main PCB. Ensure it is fully seated and not damaged.
- Visual inspection: Look for cracked solder joints or burnt components on the UI board. If damaged, the panel or board will need replacement.
If F06 persists after reseating cables, replacement of the UI board or main PCB is usually required.
