Dryer produces a rattling or clinking noise, especially at low speeds

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before reaching inside or removing panels.

• Inspect drum interior: Check the drum for loose items, especially inside and around the baffles. Remove any foreign objects.
• Check drum seals: Rotate the drum slowly by hand and listen for scraping. If noise is localized, inspect the front and rear felt seals for trapped objects.
• Inspect blower wheel: Remove the rear or side panel and access the blower housing. Remove any debris from the blower wheel and housing.

After removing foreign objects, reassemble and test. Persistent rattling may indicate a loose baffle or damaged blower wheel that needs replacement.
