Dryer runs continuously and does not stop at the expected time; clothes may be over-dried

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing internal wiring.

• Clean moisture sensor bars: Wipe the bars inside the drum with white vinegar or alcohol to remove any film.
• Check program selection: Ensure you are using an automatic program that uses moisture sensing, and not a timed program set for a long duration.
• Inspect sensor wiring: Access the back of the sensor bars and verify that wires are intact and firmly connected.

If the dryer still runs excessively long on automatic programs, the moisture sensor or control board may be faulty and require replacement.
