Possible Causes

Clogged lint filter, Blocked internal air duct, Blocked external vent (vented models), Failed blower fan or fan obstruction

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing panels or ducts. Wear a dust mask if sensitive to lint.

  • Clean lint filter and housing: Remove the lint filter and clean thoroughly. Use a vacuum with a narrow nozzle to clean inside the filter housing.
  • Check condenser/heat exchanger (if condenser or heat pump model): Remove and rinse the condenser as per the user manual. Ensure all fins are clear of lint.
  • Inspect vent hose (vented models): Pull the dryer away from the wall. Disconnect the vent hose and check for lint clogs, crushed sections, or long runs with many bends. Clean or replace the hose as needed.
  • Check blower wheel: Remove the rear or side panel to access the blower housing. Inspect the blower wheel for lint buildup, broken fins, or foreign objects (coins, buttons). Clean and ensure it spins freely on the motor shaft.

After restoring proper airflow, reconnect power and run a test cycle. If E06 returns, an internal airflow sensor or the main control board may be faulty and require professional diagnosis.
