Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer. The heat pump system is a sealed refrigerant circuit; only certified technicians should open or recharge it.
- Clean both heat exchangers: Access the front condenser and any rear evaporator filters. Remove lint and dust with a soft brush and vacuum. Do not bend fins.
- Ensure proper ventilation: Make sure the dryer has adequate space around it and that intake/exhaust grilles are not blocked by cabinets or objects.
- Check sensors and wiring: Inspect the NTC sensors attached to the heat pump coils and their wiring harnesses. Reseat connectors on the sensors and main control board.
If cleaning and wiring checks do not clear E08, the compressor, expansion device, or refrigerant charge may be faulty. These repairs require specialized tools and should be performed by an authorized service technician.
