Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the control boards.
- Power reset: Unplug the dryer or switch off the breaker for at least 5 minutes. Reconnect power and try to start a simple timed cycle.
- Check control connections: Remove the top panel and access the main control board and user interface board. Reseat all multi-pin connectors, ensuring they are fully engaged and not corroded or burnt.
- Inspect for visible damage: Look for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or scorch marks on the main control board. If present, the board must be replaced.
If E09 persists after reseating connectors and power reset, the main control board is likely defective and should be replaced. Programming or configuration may be required; consult Ikea/authorized service documentation.
