How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the door lock or wiring.
- Inspect door and hinge: Ensure the door closes squarely and the hinge is not sagging. Adjust or tighten hinge screws if needed.
- Check door lock assembly: Access the door lock from inside the front panel. Inspect for cracks, burnt smell, or loose connectors. Reseat the wiring plug.
- Test door switch continuity: With a multimeter, verify that the switch changes state when the door is opened and closed. Replace the lock assembly if readings are inconsistent.
If the door lock tests good but E15 continues, the main control board may not be reading the signal correctly and may require replacement.
