Possible Causes
Contaminated moisture sensor bars, Faulty sensor wiring, Control board calibration fault, Incorrect sensor type installed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring.
- Thoroughly clean moisture sensor bars: Use a non-abrasive pad and white vinegar or alcohol to remove all residue from the bars inside the drum.
- Check harness: Access the back of the sensor bars and inspect the wiring harness for damage or loose connections. Repair or replace as needed.
- Run a calibration cycle (if available): Some models allow a service calibration of the dryness sensor. Refer to service documentation or contact Ikea support for the key sequence.
If E17 remains, the moisture sensor assembly or main control board may require replacement.
