How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer and remove the water tank. Expect residual water in the base.
Clean and inspect the water system:
- Empty and clean tank: Rinse the water tank thoroughly and ensure the outlet valve is not blocked.
- Check condenser and sump: Remove the condenser unit (if user-removable) and clean lint and debris from fins and the sump area beneath. Ensure water can flow freely to the pump area.
- Access pump: Remove the lower front or side panel to reach the pump assembly. Check for lint, coins, or sludge blocking the pump impeller or inlet.
- Test pump operation: With the pump disconnected, measure coil resistance (typically tens to hundreds of ohms). An open circuit indicates a failed pump. Briefly power the pump with a safe test supply only if you are qualified.
- Check float/level switch: Inspect the float chamber for sticking. Clean and ensure the float moves freely and the switch clicks.
Reassemble and test: Refit all parts, restore power, and run a cycle. Confirm that water is being pumped into the tank and that F05 does not reappear.
