Possible Causes
Faulty pressure switch (airflow sensor), blocked air path to pressure switch, damaged wiring to sensor, defective control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before opening the cabinet.
Check airflow and pressure switch:
- Clean filters and ducts: Remove and clean the lint filter, condenser (if applicable), and exhaust duct. Ensure there are no kinks or blockages in the vent hose.
- Locate pressure switch: On some Indesit dryers, a small round pressure switch is connected to the air duct via a thin hose. Inspect the hose for splits, kinks, or blockages and clean or replace as needed.
- Test switch: Disconnect the switch and measure continuity across its terminals while gently blowing into the hose port. The contacts should change state. If not, replace the pressure switch.
- Check wiring: Verify continuity from the switch to the main PCB and ensure connectors are secure.
After repair: Reassemble, restore power, and run a cycle to confirm that F10 is cleared and airflow is normal.
