How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing moving parts.
Check rotating supports:
- Access belt and pulleys: Remove the top and rear or side panel to expose the belt path.
- Inspect idler pulley: Spin the idler pulley by hand. If it feels rough, wobbles, or squeals, replace it.
- Check drum rollers (if fitted): Rotate each roller. Replace any that are noisy or have flat spots.
- Clean belt path: Remove lint and debris from around pulleys and rollers. Do not apply oil to the belt or drum; use only manufacturer-approved lubricants on bearings if specified.
Reassemble and test: Refit panels and run a cycle to confirm the squeak is gone.
