Possible Causes
Faulty start button, defective door interlock, broken start relay on PCB, open motor circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before testing switches or opening panels.
Basic checks:
- Door fully closed: Ensure the door is firmly shut and the latch engages. Listen for a click from the door lock.
- Try different program: Select a simple timed dry program and press start again.
Component checks:
- Door interlock: Access the door lock and test for continuity when the door is closed. Replace if it does not close the circuit.
- Start button: Remove the control fascia and test the start switch with a multimeter. Replace if faulty.
- Motor circuit: Check continuity of the motor windings and wiring from PCB to motor.
If all above are OK: The start relay or control board may be defective and require replacement.
