Possible Causes
Tripped breaker or blown fuse, Loose power cord connection, Failed main control board, Open internal line fuse (if equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the breaker and unplug the dryer before opening any panels.
- Check house power: Verify the dryer’s breaker is ON and not tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Inspect power cord and terminal block: Remove the rear cover and ensure all three (or four) wires are securely attached and not burned.
- Check internal line fuse: Some JennAir dryers have an internal line fuse on the control board or wiring harness. Test for continuity and replace if open, but also investigate what caused it to blow.
- Evaluate the control board: If power is present at the board but it remains dead, the main control board is likely failed and should be replaced.
