How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before deep cleaning internal areas.
- Clean the drum: Wipe the inside of the drum with a cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution, then wipe with clean water and dry.
- Clean lint trap housing: Remove the lint filter and use a long brush or vacuum attachment to clean inside the housing.
- Clean or replace vent duct: Remove the vent hose and inspect for damp lint, mold, or odors. Clean thoroughly or replace the duct if contaminated.
- Run a high-heat cycle empty: After cleaning, run the dryer empty on high heat for 10–15 minutes to help dry and deodorize the interior.
