Possible Causes
Dirty moisture sensor bars, Faulty moisture sensor, Defective auto-dry control circuit on main board, Broken sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer before accessing internal wiring.
- Clean moisture sensors: Wipe the sensor bars inside the drum with rubbing alcohol to remove residue.
- Inspect sensor wiring: Access the back of the front bulkhead and ensure sensor wires are intact and connected.
- Test in timed dry: If timed dry advances normally, the issue is isolated to the auto-dry sensor system. Replace the moisture sensor assembly if cleaning does not help.
- Replace control board if needed: If sensors and wiring are good, the auto-dry circuit on the main control may be defective and require replacement.
