Possible Causes

Stuck keypad button, Moisture or spill in console, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main control, Failed user interface board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the dryer before removing the console or touching internal components.

  • Check for stuck buttons: Press each button on the control panel several times. If any button feels stuck or does not click, gently work it free. Wipe the panel with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • Power reset: Leave the dryer unplugged for 5–10 minutes, then plug it back in and see if the code clears.
  • Inspect the console: Remove the console back cover. Locate the ribbon cable between the user interface (UI) and the main control board. Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon to clean the contacts.
  • Look for moisture or corrosion: If there are signs of liquid intrusion or corrosion on the UI board, the console assembly should be replaced.
  • Replace the user interface if needed: Transfer any knobs or trim, mount the new UI, reconnect the ribbon cable, reassemble the console, and test all buttons for proper response.
