Possible Causes
Severely clogged lint duct inside dryer, Blocked blower wheel, Failed internal airflow sensor (if equipped), Loose airflow sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dryer and allow it to cool before opening panels.
- Clean internal lint paths: Remove the rear panel and front lower panel (if present). Vacuum lint from the blower housing, internal ducts, and around the heater assembly.
- Inspect the blower wheel: Check for lint clumps, socks, or other obstructions in the blower wheel. Ensure the wheel is firmly attached to the motor shaft and not cracked.
- Check any airflow sensor: Some models have a pressure switch or airflow sensor near the blower. Verify the tubing and wiring are intact and connected.
- Verify external venting: Combine this with a full vent cleaning from the dryer outlet to the exterior hood to ensure proper airflow.
- Clear the code and test: Reassemble panels, restore power, and run a timed dry cycle. If F30 returns, the airflow sensor or control board may need replacement.
